Federation Model

Characteristics of the AXSionics Federation Model

  • Peer Trust Model
The AXSionics Trustmodel is based on standardized symmetric cryptographic protocols, which aggregates to a peer trust model.
The peer trust model is a valuable alternative to the well known master trust model applied with PKI-based solutions.
  • 1-to-1 relationship
The relation between an end consumer and a service provider is always on a secure and exclusive 1-to-1 relationship, which is based on one specific and independent key.
  • Easy hardware logistic
The AXSionics Internet Passport is only personalized during the personalization process by the end consumer himself. Simple and efficient logistic and deployment processes can be applied without compromising security standards.
  • Operator-owned security policy
Every service provider applies and manages his own security policies. No one needs to trust the security processes of another service provider
  • User-controlled biometrics
The biometric data is under the control of the end consumer - at any time and during the entire life cycle of the product. No biometric data will be stored to any centralized database.
  • Highest scalability
Every AXSionics Internet Passport can manage multiple identities, all of them fully independent of each other. The AXSionics Security Manager Interface is based on simple-to-implement WebService Technology. This makes the AXSionics Security Infrastructure highly scalable in both dimensions – with the number of end consumers and with the number of service providers.
  • No local hardware and installation required
To use the AXSionics Internet Passport, no local installation of software or hardware is required, and no new technologies like RFID or Bluetooth need to be introduced.
