Whilst the jury (and the House of Lords) is still out on Identity Cards, the growing pace of digitisation forces us all to acknowledge the issues around proving that we are who we say we are:
- organisations need to provide unified secure access to facilities and IT resources within their distributed organisation
- they need to maintain secure contact with their collaborators in the field
- agencies need to authenticate citizen information and entitlement at their service portals
