New VPN Solution from QGROUP uses the AXSionics Internet Passport for strong Authentication

Biel, 03.09.2009; QTrust 2go is a new VPN (Virtual Private Network) Solution for businesses with a high need for security and mobility. QGROUP is a well known provider of high level security and availability network solutions and trusted computing. QTrust 2go offers mobile and device independent access to company networks and business applications. Even unsecure end user devices can be used, without compromising the overall integrity and security of the system.

Authentication is done through a QTrust Server (www.qtrust.de), based on a Trusted OS (Pitbull) allowing maximum security of the VPN Gateway.
QTrust 2g allows a three factor authentication through the use of the AXSionics Internet Passport (biometrics, secret, possession of the Internet Passport). Authentication and verification of transactions are separated from standard communications and therefore are not prone to phishing and scamming. The AXSionics Internet Passport does not require any installation and data is read from the monitor through optical sensors. In addition to the above mentioned QTrust 2go application the AXSionics Internet Passport can also be used with other Internet based services eg. online banking, cloud computing.

Administrative Overhead is reduced to a minimum. Complex roll-out, issuing and personalization processes are no longer necessary. Enrolment plus activation of the AXSionics Internet Passport is done by each user on their own. The main disadvantage of most of the token based access control systems, the constant replacement of tokens, is no longer an obstacle. It sums up to the ideal solution for high level security access to web based businesses, applications or cloud computing services.
The QTrust Server is easily integrated into existing infrastructures reducing implementation costs to a minimum. QTrust 2go is available as from October 2009 and first projects are already ongoing. QGroup will present QTrust 2go at the it-sa Security exhibition in Nuremberg, Germany on 13-15th of October (hall 6, booth # 526)
